Prayer requests, please join me?

Here's a small handful of requests from a fairly intense night on Saturday.
-A woman that Zach and I work with is currently in Germany with her son. He was traveling in Romania and fell on electric train tracks. After being transferred to Germany, he got an infection, and now the last antibiotic that they're trying is destroying his kidneys. Please pray for healing, and comfort for the whole family.

-Jacob and Amber, who are currently living on the streets. Please pray for tickets back to Arkansas (by Tuesday) to reunite with their three kids.

-Charles and Charles, who are heading to San Fransisco.

-Alex (name protected), who is involved in sex trafficking as he fronts the drugs to different dealers (he's the one who will get caught if police get involved. He's being held against his will, has nowhere to go, and is threatened if he leaves). Please pray that we can find a house or organization to take him in.

-Robert. To know his worth, to find joy and rest.

-Kerry, who is running from a rapist, but he keeps coming back (police are involved/watching him).

-Ike, from Virginia. That he's able to make his way around Seattle.

-Mama Love, as everyone calls her, as she deals with a new found tumor (and the other four). She has so much joy, always!

I know there are some heavy requests in here, but I would love it if you could join me in prayer! Seattle is so rough and when looked at closer, one realizes that the city is more than just a beautiful haze of raindrops and greenery. People hurt. They hurt badly, openly, courageously, and not many care to listen. Thank you!

Today I went walking

Because one's brain works best at 1.7 miles per hour, I took my textbook on a walk.
Since information is solidified while taking a nap, I met my pillow for a second time today.
I also ate a lot of watermelon, kiwi, and cantaloupe.
The fruit's been sweet, and the reading, swell.

New purchase

Image {via}
Eating three slices of homemade blueberry + raspberry pie is always permissible.
Today I bought a Canon EOS 6D. Now I wait impatiently until its arrival on Thursday.
Until then, I will be eating more pie. If you were here, I'd share a bite or two, or three.

Well that was an adventure: game night in Seattle

Six girls.
One Subaru.
China town.
No parking.
Game night;
Seahawks vs. 49ers.
Vietnamese food + bubble tea.
Laughter.
Car window broken.
Phone stolen.
Jean jacket tossed on barbed wire fence.
Men drinking under bridge near by.
Did I say China town? In Seattle? Yes.
Separate: three girls to Century Link Field.
Conversation about gambling/seagulls/Seahawks with homeless man.
Other man walks up and eyes baggage.
Homeless man pulls out brass knuckles.
Other man has shifty eyes.
We exit scene.
Watch game from Century Link Field and hear roaring fans.
We root for our team and watch people get kicked out.
Coffee shop to buy some tea.
Police man shows up (with other three).
Police man collects information and hands over a 'naked man' suit.
He explains that it is normally used to give to people who run around the streets naked.
He places it on the seat so that no one gets cut.
Leave coffee shop right as game ends; cheer until we all reunite.
"SEA" "HAWKS!" "SEA" "HAWKS!" "WHO'S BETTER?" "NO ONE IS!"
And with that, we are officially the loudest stadium in the world;
Record broken tonight.
Adventure ends here (mostly).

Highs and Lows

Highs
-That first look two weeks ago. ^ She shot my wedding, and I, hers!
-Fresh grapes off the vine. Grandpa, you are a master.
-Fresh carrots from the garden!
-Pears, apples, and plums. Thanks to my parent's fruit trees, I have never tasted a pear so sweet, an apple so juicy, nor a plum so purple.
-One of my best friends is engaged!
-The Lord is so good! Providing like none of our business.
-Street ministry. AH! I love the souls of Seattle.
-The class that I thought would kill me has become one of my favorites.

Lows
-Mega reading. But I'm learning lots!
-Zachary is working like a rented mule.
-Confronting a friend and then watching said friend not listen at all.
-Dreams about a self-destructing rocket exploding right over my head... ?
-This cold, tho.

And your week, how was it?

Secret hiding places.

I have this habit.
A not-so-very-wise-yet-always-a-surprise type habit.
A habit where I hide a few stuffed envelopes full of dolla' dolla' bills.
And then I always find said envelopes at the most opportune time.
This time, one was spotted after clearing a book shelf for dusting.

And now you know where I hide my extra monz.
I take after my great grandmother in this. No shame.

After she passed, we found hundreds of dollars stuffed in book pages.
I'm not to that point yet. I hope to never be.

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
 -W.B. Yeats

With that, I am undone.
I am completely in awe of these words

Highs and Lows (delayed)

Highs
-Dropping a class.
-Street ministry.
-Education.
-Walt Whitman.
-Meeting new faces.
-Deep questions.

Lows
-Broken camera.
-No time to respond to emails.
-Second day of class: twenty minutes late.
-Trying to edit photos amidst class schedule. Two hours free the entire week - yikes.
-Second shooter comes to wedding without my prior knowledge. I later learn that I wasn't given the check because the bride's grandma is afraid I'm going to con them. And now I sit here, almost fished with all the edits, while simultaneously working on a very deliberate contract for all future weddings.
