Cheese!

Nothing beats a cheese party on a Sunday.

We enjoyed: Cranberry Chipotle, Parmesan, Flaghsip, Goat Cheese with herbs, Swiss, Cheddar, Pepper Jack, and Brie with herbs. It was a delicious assortment! 

Summer in full swing

When the BBQ is out, the corn is roasted, and avocados are on the table,
all is swell in Seattle.

Dîner sur bord de mer

After throwing the frisbee around, Zach suggested we pack up our dinner and eat it at the waterfront instead of at home. He's the one with all the good ideas. 

Tikka Masala on the dock? That's what I'm talkin' about.

Picnic with my sister

My sister and I packed some food and headed into my backyard for a picnic!

It wasn't long before company arrived.

{Note to self: never pack carrots when eating around horses.}

With music, birds and butterflies, plus hummus to dip in, all was well with our souls.  

Do you like picnics? Now that summer is here, I'm looking forward to many more!

Queen's Day

My name is Katie Ann and I sometimes procrastinate.

True story. This post is a bit overdue. 

Anyway, the day after the royal wedding (yes, I watched it)

was Queen's Day in the Netherlands.

After skyping a friend from Holland, I, along with two 

wonderful friends, went on a picnic.

(Confession: 'Queen's Day' was an excuse.) 

An excuse to eat little sandwiches and juice

(...and almonds) ...on a picnic blanket

...in a beautiful location. 

..that just so happened to be sunny. 

It was lovely. 

You know what else was lovely?

...Who just so happens to have the most beautiful princess hair ever. Thus making all the other girls jealous. See that curl? It's natural. See that color? That's natural too.
